Death’s Bouquet at Morbid Anatomy

On Sunday, October 18, I’m joining Morbid Anatomy for an in-person talk at their Industry City space about “Death’s Bouquet: The Language of Flowers in Cemeteries and Mourning.” It will be complemented by the memorial hairwork now installed in the Morbid Anatomy space from Leila’s Hair Museum and delve into how floriography rose in popularity alongside Victorian cemeteries and mourning art, where pansies for thoughts and snapped roses for a life cut short emphasized the fragility of life. Carpe diem, register here!
